Mission:
To help youth cultivate right relationships with Christ and others.

Objectives:
To be a warm and welcoming place where hurting teenagers can find the hope, healing, and compassion they so desperately need.

To have meaningful group time where students have the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God and with the others in the group.

To equip students with the passion and the practical knowledge they need for reaching others for Christ.

To encourage our youth to take ownership in the church by involving them in ministry inside and outside the youth group. Our youth have the opportunity to teach lessons and to work with children, music, sound, tech, food, and more.

To help students develop enough spiritual depth that, when they graduate from high school and leave the youth group, they will continue to have a strong walk with God in college and beyond.

Join Us!
If you are in the 6th through the 12th grade, we would love to have you join us for Youth Group on Sunday nights from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

On a typical Sunday night, youth begin to show up at the church around 5 o’clock to hang out and grab a snack. Youth group begins at 5:30 with a welcome and overview of the night by Pastor Jessica. We then have a “Breaking the Ice” activity that loosens everyone up and introduces the night’s topic. The lesson is usually presented in various ways including movie clips, video lessons, and/or teaching by Pastor Jessica. Other elements included in a typical youth group are an “Experience It” activity that makes the lesson tangible and memorable, “Sabbath Time” where we take 5-10 minutes to rest, pray, and reflect on God’s Word as individuals, “Family Group Time” where we meet in small groups of 4-5 people and engage in in-depth discussion on the night’s topic, “Story Time” where a student or adult leader shares an open and honest story from his or her life that inspires the rest of us, praise and worship music with our youth band “Altar,” and “Wrap-Up” which includes giveaways and announcements. We normally end around 7:30 pm.

This summer, our youth are giving the lessons during youth group on Sunday nights. We did this last summer and the students loved it so much that we have decided to do it again. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to take ownership in the group and to learn that they have something meaningful to contribute.

Our students have the opportunity to participate in many other meaningful activities as well. Every month during the school year we carpool to Youth Quake Live. Throughout the year, we participate in retreats, camps, mission trips, and much more. Please contact the church for specific details on these events.
